The new SUVs will have a widebody design and will replace the outdated Mazda CX-7 and CX-9 SUVs with a more contemporary powertrain. This powertrain will include an inline-six as well as a turbo four-cylinder plug-in hybrid variant on an RWD architecture, with AWD expected to be standard across the range.
